We’re opening a high-volume, fast-casual kitchen built for speed, precision, and clean execution — and we’re looking for BOH team members who move with urgency, stay organized under pressure, and take pride in putting out consistently great food.
As a BOH team member at Tacos on the Street, you’ll rotate through prep and line stations and support overall kitchen operations. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with a tight team in a fast, high-energy environment where every second counts.

Key Responsibilities
Line & Prep Execution
Prepare tacos, quesadillas, and side items according to company recipes and plating standards, with accuracy and speed
Set up, break down, and maintain prep and line stations to exact standards
Work the grill, flattop, and prep areas confidently
Prepare batch items such as proteins, salsas, and sauces using scales and timers
Portion ingredients using standardized scoops, containers, and recipe cards
Label, date, and rotate all items according to FIFO and health code standards
Cleanliness & Food Safety
Wash dishes, smallwares, and cookware throughout the shift using a 3-compartment sink and/or commercial dishwasher
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked kitchen throughout service
Clean and sanitize all workstations, prep tables, shelving, and storage areas
Follow all health and safety regulations, including glove use, temperature logs, and allergen procedures
Report any maintenance, safety, or pest issues to a supervisor immediately
Team Communication & Service Support
Communicate clearly with expo and FOH team to keep food moving efficiently
Support expo during peak periods with final garnishes, trays, and staging
Restock prep items and backup product throughout shift to avoid bottlenecks
Jump in to assist with receiving deliveries and putting away inventory
Assist in daily and weekly deep cleaning tasks, including drains, hoods, and floors
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift
Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs repeatedly (cases of tortillas, boxes of produce, etc.)
Ability to bend, squat, reach, and use step stools/ladders as needed
Must be comfortable working around commercial cooking equipment, open flames, hot oil, and sharp tools
Must be able to work in a loud, high-heat environment with frequent movement

Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on, fast-paced work

Willingness to be coached and follow systems — no freelancing or shortcuts
Previous kitchen experience is helpful, but not required
Requirements
Must have or be able to obtain a Texas Food Handler’s Certificate before your first shift
Reliable transportation to and from the restaurant
